About Us

We are a bunch of enthusiastic and spirited, like-minded young people originally from Kottarakkara, and nearby places in Kollam (Quilon) district, Kerala, united in the state of Qatar since 2018 with the primary objective of building amicable fellowship and cordial friendship to stay connected and support each other. It all started with a WhatsApp group which has now evolved into a delightful fraternity of more than 200 members. We, as a team aims to be the ambassadors of warmth and compassion by fostering cultural, communal, and harmonious activities in Qatar for the welfare of our members. The remarkable values and commendable loyalty of our executive committee and leadership team helped to gain popularity and acceptance among residents of Qatar thereby providing visibility and unlimited opportunities for the steady growth of our association in a short span of time.

KEFAQ, Kottarakkara Expatriates Friends Association of Qatar, is an organization that resonate the rhythm and vibes of people from Kottarakkara residing in Qatar far away from their home and loved ones yet create home away from home by embracing feel of oneness and encouraging one another. The deep distress of missing homeland is inexplicable and hence we always make sure to come up with exciting as well as enriching ways to improve happiness and oneness among the members of KEFAQ. We engage in several recreational activities like games and sports, cultural activities, social service and many more.

The biggest hurdle as working parents dwelling in a foreign country is lack of time to provide kids, the emotional warmth and attention they deserve in their growing age. We, as a team always make sure to plan and prioritise a platform for fun and entertainment exclusively for our children to engage themselves in various programmes organized by KEFAQ. It has given us, the parents, a pleasant feeling of content that our kids are never casted aside.

Although, we take part in several social and cultural initiatives, we always encourage the value of “unity in diversity” and do not explicitly support or promote any religion or political parties.
